I can't get this program to open nor is anything related to this shown in the task manager. There is no log file in the %appdata%/roaming folder either. I'm running Windows 10 Pro x64 with the latest updates with a GeForce 1050 Ti video card.
NV Updater not opening

Ok that is strange, you only have a 1050 ti? No integrated video card or something?
-
integrated video is disabled in bios

Hi,
I have this problem too.
I have a Geforce 1070, desktop PC (no onboard), Windows 10 18363.719
Maybe mine is crashing for a different reason, but here is my info - might help hbk4ever too.
I'm guessing the nice juicy stack trace here should help you out.
Looks like bad string parsing logic.
I'd suggest giving your app a global exception handler so that you can catch these types of unhandled exceptions and log or notify appropriately.

Hi there
,
first thank you for the information. Maybe you could test a little thing for me on your system:
Go to ks-soft and download the WMI Explorer 1.16
Start the Software and go to the "Query" tab
Execute the query:
Then go to Menu action and save the file als csv file and attach it here

Ok, looks normal to me...and there is no error shown, not even in the windows eventviewer?
Please try the exe in the attachment and copy it to the install directory

Did it create the file nvu_config.ini in the %appdata%\nv_updater\
-
No. I looked in both the "All Users" folder and the folder under my user name.
-
Oh you only have to look at %appdata%\nv_updater\. You can copy that to your explorer Adress Bar. Ist should only be under your own profile
.
The exe i attached does nothing else?
-
I may have a corrupted install of the .net framework or something else impacting your software. I'm going to reinstall Windows and I'll report back to you. Thank you very much for your help. I appreciate it.
-
I dont think its a Windows problem

I get this dialog box when trying to open that folder.
-
The *.exe file you attached does nothing different than the original nv updater exe I already downloaded from your site.
-
Ok first use the windows explorer, i dont know "Directory Opus"
and if the tool can handle windows paths with %.
Then ensure the folder nv_updater does not exist in %appdata%, if it exits then delete it.
Then copy the new file and try it.
-
nv_updater folder doesn't exist in %appdata% Tried launching your attached file and nothing happens again.
-
Hm i really dont Unterstand the Problem here
-
OK. Thank you for your help.

I think I have some corrupted system files. I don't know if that is effecting your software, but i will try this next.
